The STRATO-Apex series is a CNC CMM uses the standard Mitutoyo structure in large machines that are designed to measure large and heavy workpieces with high accuracy. Equipped with a temperature compensation system that guarantees the specified accuracy within the wide range of 18 to 22 °C under certain environmental conditions, although ideally high-accuracy CMMs should be installed in a temperature-controlled space. Safety devices such as a Z-axis beam sensor, tape switch and area sensor are available as optional.
